Oh, Just #Vogueing…

The usual.

That very handsome man up there is someone you may recognize if you're a Kelly & Michael or Steve Harvey watcher - his name is Lawrence Zarian, and he was my cohost for a Macy's event last weekend, and it was the most fun thing ever. There was semi-nudity involved, which is always a good sign.

NYC Event – Thursday, June 12

Tomorrow night, I'll be co-hosting an event with Caroline of House Of Harper; we'll have appetizers, drinks and shopping discounts, and will be raffling off shoes and copies of my book (plus other fun stuff). I'd love to see you, so if you're in the NYC area and would like to swing by just RSVP here!

Painted Rainbow

This happened last week, and it was so much fun, and I totally forgot to write about it. (If I've seemed slightly checked-out these past few days, there's an extremely good reason for it - I'll explain very soon.)

I used to be big on painting and drawing - I even went to art school during the summer of 1998 and spent hours and hours every day drawing naked people (an example, above) and painting fountains and buildings - but in the past few years…not so much. I really like it; I just…sort of forget that it's an option, I suppose, and default to things like reading and knitting and watching Lindsay to relax.

Juicy Couture Fall 2013 Presentation

With Gala at last night's Juicy Couture Fall 2013 "Bad Reputation" presentation.

This Fashion Week, my plan is to pick a couple of days to spend in the city and attend whatever shows happen to fall on those days rather than trucking back and forth all week long...but I couldn't miss this party. Champagne, chocolate-covered popcorn, Juicy Couture clothing, and a chance to catch up with friends I don't get to see as much these days made for a pretty excellent evening.

The collection, inspired by icons such as Kate Moss, Joan Jett, Marianne Faithfull and the feminist Russian punk band Pussy Riot, features an eclectic mix of rocker-chick pieces like skin-tight coated denim (my favorite piece was the iridescent pair pictured above), plenty of animal print, preppy standards like tweed jackets and patterned blazers, and a couple of sweet 70's-style flowery dresses.
