I get that for some they may be terrifying dream-haunters, but to me Lamb Cups are unparalleled in terms of adorableness. If you have some upcoming occasion - baby shower, child's birthday, or rave - for which these bitty beasts might come in handy, you're in luck, 'cause they're also super-easy to make (I constructed the three pictured below in five minutes flat, and wanted to kiss them to pieces).
For the past five hours, I have been sitting in a food court in the airport in Des Moines. Wait, I'm sorry, that's a lie: I spent the first hour sitting in a plane on the tarmac, and the subsequent two hours on line trying to re-book my flight after several fire trucks pulled up next to the plane and we were asked to disembark (yeah, again)
Making whoopie pies on-set with easiest-ever filling: a 16 oz. package of softened cream cheese whipped together with a package of ready-made vanilla frosting. Alternative: Whip together cream cheese with 2 cups confectioner's sugar and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
This morning, I wandered down to the lobby of my hotel in search of a hot breakfast, and when I requested poached eggs, the lovely gentleman behind the stove suggested I have them "basted." I have never heard of this in my life, so of course I said yes.
On the plus side, I managed to get through the entire 24 hours without, you know, falling off of a bridge or something.
Despite my excitement over having the call time pushed back, I was up at 5AM anyway. Weird. And sort of annoying, but hey: it's 8:30AM in Des Moines right now, and I have already gymmed/worked/coffeed, so that's something.
Apparently sunsets over Iowa are on the spectacular side.
