A couple of weeks ago, when I was in New York, I was sitting on my friend’s couch wearing a pair of denim shorts with my legs stretched out in front of my and my feet plopped on her coffee table, rambling on about something or other, and all of a sudden I realized that she wasn’t listening to me; she was staring, horrified, at my legs.

“Oh my god,” she said. And then she stood up, walked into the other room, and returned with a bottle of moisturizer.

Yeah, yeah. I know. It’s bad.

It’s partially the fact that my legs have very obviously not been in regular contact with a razor since…well, since Indy was born, but I think it’s mostly the alligator factor. I’m just the driest human being on the planet, and if I relax my vigilance for even one day I become a human Sahara – arms, legs, face, everywhere. I’m not even exaggerating: my skin cracks. And you’d think that would be enough to make me be nice and consistent about moisturizing, except applying moisturizer the old-fashioned way takes too long to apply and too long to dry, and I don’t have any extra minutes to spend wandering around waiting for my lotion to absorb before I can get dressed.

Literally the ONLY way I will consistently moisturize my body: with a spray-on product. A couple of years ago I went home from an event with a bottle of Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer, and it instantly became my favorite body moisturizer ever. I love that I don’t have to contort myself to put it on; I love that it absorbs instantly; I love that it goes on evenly; I love that my hands don’t end up all gloppy. And then I used it all up and kept forgetting to replace it, and the end result of that was having my friend take one look at my skin and perform an intervention on me.

So now I have this, and I am using it every day (I promise). See how nice and smooth-looking my arms are in these shots? Trust me; that is not their natural state; it’s the doing of NEW Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair Spray Moisturizer (pictured above).

The product is specifically formulated to heal very dry and sensitive skin, with 2X the moisturizing capabilities of other spray-on products. It has micro-droplets of actual Vaseline Jelly in it, so it leaves skin feeling instantly soft (and takes less than ten seconds to absorb, so there’s no wandering around and waiting before getting dressed and getting on with your day). There’s also no contorting, thanks to the 360-degree spray nozzle – you can even hold the bottle upside-down and it’ll dispense.

No mess, no fuss, and no waiting around for my lotion to dry means even I may be able to stay nice and moisturized all winter long. (I’m sure my friends will be just as happy about the reformed state of my legs as I am.)
