Happy New Year’s Eve! (And A Video)

Thank you SO MUCH to all of you who took time out of your busy holiday season to answer my “how can I do better in 2015” survey – it’s been so fun reading through all the submissions and learning more about you and what you’re looking for from RG (if you didn’t get a chance to fill it out and would like to add your two cents, click here).

(Got it.)

Some favorite comments and a few responses:

  • More Francesca 🙂 You two together are fun to watch for fashion tips. – Anonymous (I have to agree: more Francesca is always a good thing.)
  • All of your fashion posts look the same: Blue steel off to the side of the camera! One leg off the ground! Feet pointing inward and goofy laugh! – Anonymous (Lol will work on this. I do love me some Blue Steel though.)

  • I loved the portraits of motherhood and the frank observations on change and relationships. – Anonymous
  • Your brave, open honesty regarding your struggle with postpartum depression. Bless you for being able to share – I’m sure you have helped others. – Libby

  • I relate to so many of your posts: moving out of NYC, second pregnancies and all the feelings/worries/ anxieties that come along with these things. – Jordana

  • I have a son near Indy’s age, and so much of what you write about I find myself thinking about well after I have read it. Like the post you wrote about not going grocery shopping and instead playing with him in the leaves and the twilight. Man, I think about that all the time. – Lily
  • I really like posts you do about business – how you started blogging, how you found your passions, even how you dealt with that hacking situation. – Anonymous (I love this topic too. More coming up!)
  • Watching as you “grow up” is the best part. It’s funny that one day you just “wake up” and you’re an adult — it’s nice to watch someone else go through this as well. – Laura

I’m going to be incorporating your suggestions over the coming months, but to bring the year to a close let’s answer a few quick reader questions in video form, shall we?

Questions include what my own favorite part of the blog is, when we’re moving, and how we’re feeling about the idea of being far away from our family. (And please forgive the dishevelment – because you know how yesterday’s nine-hour drive from Ohio ended? With a trip to urgent care for Goldie – the fussing, as it turns out, was an ear infection on top of teething – and two hours on the phone with Apple Care. It was exactly as much fun as it sounds like. On the plus side, Kendrick is my angel and let me sleep until 9.)

Here’s to a happy, relaxing New Year’s Eve to kick off a happy, relaxing 2015. So much love from all of us to all of you.
