Potential Summer Wardrobe Plan

This iPhone photo of yesterday’s outfit, while horrible and blurry, etc, pretty much encapsulates what I think I may be wearing on a day-to-day basis this summer once I grow out of those damn Internet-upheaving shorts. It was fun throwing on something a little bit form-fitting (seats on the train! woo!) and the sleeves made me feel a little less bare given the belly-related stares. And it was way comfortable, and easy. As it gets warmer I’ll of course swap out the boots for sandals, but this (plus an army jacket) was just about perfect for yesterday’s chilly, rainy weather.

I think that dress (paired with a F21 necklace and my Baker’s boots that are still holding on for dear life) was about $15 from TJ Maxx, but here are some similar looks:

Forever 21 Striped Seafarer Tunic ($19.80); Quicksilver Kerrington Minidress ($34); Madewell Clipper Stripe Dress ($128)

(Add a low-slung belt for shape.)

P.S. Re: top picture clutter, we had to move the coatrack (a.k.a. The Bane Of My Household Decor) into the bedroom to make room for the crib and changing table. Compromises.
