Last night Kim came over for dinner, and since I didn't have a whole lot of time yesterday to plan a meal and shop for food, I ended up whipping up one of my favorite standbys, Linguine Carbonara.
To me, one of the most irritating things about cooking isn't the clean-up (I have my wonderful husband to help with that)...it's the fact that the apartment smells like whatever you made for hours afterwards.
You may have noticed that I've lost about three inches from my hair and dealt with the four-inches-of-roots situation? Last Friday, BetterTV sent me over to Giannillo The Salon, where Carol gave me some gorgeous, gorgeous highlights, and Gregg Giannillo gave me one of my favorite haircuts ever - lightly layered in the back and slightly longer in the front. It's swingy and full now...and trust me, these aren't adjectives that I've often used to describe my hair. (This isn't the best picture in the world, but apparently I was Little Miss Blurry this weekend.)
Here, Gregg gives you one of his fabulous "Kitchen Cosmetology" tips, showing you how to get shiny, bouncy hair...on a budget.
Seriously. For $6.95, you get a spring roll, a big salad or tofu/mixed vegetable soup, and an entree (I had pad see eew, above).
