I cannot take credit for inventing this one – I found it on Pinterest – but I wish I could, because it’s genius, costs next-to-nothing, and takes about five seconds (not counting the twenty minutes I spent hunting for a box of Band-Aids to add the all-important finishing touch).
What You Need:
- Vanilla wafers
- Vanilla icing
- Strawberry jam
- Empty Band-Aid box and/or empty Band-Aid wrappers
All you do is swipe a little white icing across the center of each cookie to create a “cotton pad,” and then dollop on a bit of jelly. These look best (a.k.a. most realistic) arranged haphazardly rather than in neat rows.
