What, exactly, is happening here? I am laying on the ground outside my friend Mollie’s house so that my husband can take a pair of my shoes, of course.
In this particular instance, however, the shot was worth the semi-public humiliation, because 1) the shoes in question (the Priya slip-on leather flat) are seriously lovely, and deserve to be beautifully photographed against a powder-blue background, even when that powder-blue background is located five feet away from a trash can, and 2) because 10% of each online shoe sale from Andre Assous goes to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
My favorite style is the one I’m wearing in these shots – I’ve been dying to own a pair of black leather slides for moths, and these are just about perfect (although they do run a size small, so if you order them, go up a size) – but here’s a quick list of a few more pairs of shoes I found on the site that are perfect for the season:

- Champ: A white leather sneaker with an espadrille platform sole and a blue leather heel accent.
- Violeta: This mashup between a canvas slide, an espadrille, and a sleek work flat is just so cool-looking.
