Just added to the glam | camp Holiday Shop: the coolest sustainable amber bamboo boxes. They’re technically jewelry boxes, but I like the idea of using them as hiding places for your secret favorite things. (Mine is currently holding Sugar Babies and Xanax.) (Oh shush, I’m totally kidding. I don’t even like Sugar Babies.)

Trump just got booed at his own polling place (via The Verve.)

Now THIS is how you #adult. Oh man, I am going to miss him. (Obama Calms Supporters When Trump Protestor Appears, via CNN.)

Baby unicorn booties. (Sorry, did you not hear me? BABY UNICORN BOOTIES.)

In this Man Repeller post, women from every decade are asked questions like “What has your favorite decade been so far” and “If you could re-live one day in your life, which one would it be?” It is so eye-opening, and so beautiful, and just so good. (From Teenager to 101, Ten Women Discuss Their Age, via Man Repeller.)

The fact that I want one of these with zero irony officially makes me a thirteen-year-old. Don’t care; want one anyway.

When I was in Ohio my mother-in-law gave me this lipstick (in Blondie Pink), and yup: it’s a great pink for a blondie. Just enough color to look a little polished, but not so much that you look “done.”

“If six months is what Baby needs, six months is what Mom needs, too.” (What’s The “Right” Amount of Maternity Leave, Anyway? via The Fifth Trimester.)

Ah, such a good idea! Totally stealing this one to use with my five-year-old. (Teacher Uses Legos To Explain Math To Schoolchildren, via Bored Panda.)

the perfect plaid blanket scarf for fall

I know I made fun of my blanket-scarf-wearing ways yesterday, but seriously: is there anything cozier? This isn’t the one I’m wearing above – which is an ancient Zara and no longer available – but I think it might be even better. And the price! Yes.

Hands up if you’ve ever fantasized about throwing your cell phone into the ocean and moving to a cabin in rural Canada. (Should You Quit Social Media? via The Awl.)

I know it’s my Instagram post and I’m not supposed to be complimenting it, but I cannot stop watching this video. It just makes me happy.

Speaking of self-endorsement, um pleaaaaase go look at my Insta story or my Snapchat today, because the video I put up of Lucy is everything ifIdosaysomyself.

This book is my daughter’s current favorite, and I’m super into it, too; it’s about the iconic princesses first trying out each other’s lives, discovering what’s great about their own, and then creating their own happy-ever-afters in smart (and funny) ways (Cinderella, for example, ditches the ball and heads off to college, where she finds a nice guy who is “less well-off, but well-read”).

Cosign big-time on nearly all of these picks (Fisher Price Rock ‘n’ Play FTW). (Tried and True Baby Items I’m Happy to Use Again with Baby Number 4, via Baby Rabies.)

If only I had a gala to go to, I would have an excuse to own this. DAMN.

hey mama influencer membership

Just received a box from hey mama that included honestly phenomenal products from female founders and artists including Tata Harper, Mignonne Gavigan, and The Ritualist, and had to check out the site – which is about discovering products, but is also about discovering other women doing cool things in the world, and joining with them to do cool things together. I’m not much of a “membership” person, but this is one club I’d seriously consider joining.

Pinterest just coughed up a lung and died of cookie envy. (This Mom’s Cookies Look Like Tiny Meals, and They’re Completely Unbelievable, via Mommyish.)

I LOVE the concept behind MM.LaFleur, the non-subscription company that sends working women who want to look elegant but don’t enjoy shopping gorgeous, perfect-fitting pieces in a “Bento Box.” I would also like to request that these awesome women make a Bento for casual/work-from-home workplaces as well, plz – nothing would make me happier than being able to look an actual, functioning human being without having to wander around TJ Maxx with a toddler (like, ever again). (This Clothing Brand is Made for Professional Women Who Hate to Shop, via Fast Company.)
