Wishes And Dreams

For the purposes of this post we’re going to go ahead and abandon all reason and practicality. ‘Kay? Glad we’re clear on that.

So now let’s please take a look at my fall wishlist. (Please note that I said “wishlist,” not “shopping list.”)

Amazing Statement Sunglasses

Against all odds…I’m starting to get a liiiiittle tired of my massive round Tom Fords. I’ve worn them more or less constantly for a good three years, and while I still adore them, I’m feeling the need for an updated look. Francesca sent me a photo of a pair of vintage-y square sunglasses, and now I’m thinking that might be the way to go. (My favorite style: these insanely cool Roland Mourets…but this Nina Ricci pair is very nearly as cool, and a much better price.)

black lace-up ballet flats

Lace-Up Flats

Yes, this was a thing last summer. But in keeping with my enjoyment of embracing trends a minimum of a year after everyone else in the world, I would like them now, please. (This Massimo pair is a unique take on the look – love the navy and gold combo.)

unique and minimalist stud earrings

Statement Studs

Earrings are a part of my outfit I tend to forget. Like, always. (Other than the hoops in my second and third piercings, which won’t come out without a pair of pliers.) I’d love to invest in a really great pair of studs that go with everything and allow me to forget about them completely, forever and ever. These are the dream. Maybe someday.

An Updated Version Of My Go-To Look

I’ve finally come to terms with the fact that I seriously do not like to get dressed. And so if for some reason I have to – I’d still like to not be dressed, please.

I wear this floral suit and this matched crop top and pants wayyyy more often than I should, and I think I might as well go ahead and admit that this look is soooort of my favorite. This fall, I’d like an updated long-sleeved version in a darker color. (Pajamas-in-public has been a thing for long enough now that there are plenty of affordable styles available in places like Zara, but really: nobody does this better than Reformation. Aaaaand if you’re still nervous about how, exactly, to wear sleepwear outside, here are some tips, plus a photo of me pregnant with my son and looking like a tiny, tiny baby.)

 Aaaaaand…for the finale…

These.

Ayyyyyyyy.

That’s all. NBD, I’ll pick ’em up next time I run out for some Coffeemate.
