Real Talk: Post-Pregnancy Hair Is Not Good

See that?

That is not a haircut.

(If it was, it would be an extremely bad one.)

No no, what that is, is post-pregnancy hair.

I’ve talked about this before, but as a refresher: what happens when you are pregnant is that your hair is INSANELY GOOD. Like, horseback-riding, white-cable-knit-sweater-wearing, Ralph-Lauren-model good. And then, three seconds after you stop breast-feeding, it all falls out.

It’s very sad.

Even sadder, however, is what happens when all that fallen-out hair starts to grow back. I mean, it’s a good thing that it’s starting to come back, because bald spots are seriously no fun (and I’ve been rocking a couple on my temples for a few months now), but there’s this extremely long period during which your hair is exactly the correct length to make it appear that you are a Looney Tunes character who recently inserted her fingers into a light socket.
