February Favorites

What I’m excited about this month: all things green and gold, simple silhouettes, a little hint of romance, and a few pieces that are getting me all atwitter about the warm weather that’s (theoretically) on its way.

1. Wayfair Moroccan Tea Glasses ($38.99). I have a set of vintage gold-edged Moroccan tea glasses that my aunt found for me at a flea market in Canada and that I use for everything: wine, water, lemonade, to serve snacks, as little mini-vases for centerpieces…everything. And I recently broke one, and was extremely sad about it. This set would make a lovely replacement (isn’t that shade of green so gorgeous??).

2. YLighting Rocket dWelLED Pendant Light ($198). Pendant lights run the gamut from crazy-ornate to utilitarian and minimalist, but I especially love the aesthetic of this one: it’s got a super-straightforward shape…but it’s gold. Best of both worlds.

3. Kelly Wearstler Saint’s Hand Sculpture ($225). I’m into all things Kelly Wearstler at the moment (especially this ring, ooooh), and also have a minor obsession with hand sculptures (which can be used to display jewelry, or just set out wherever because they’re so freaking cool looking). This one is so striking, so simple, so beautiful.

4. Anthropologie Santina Lace Curtain ($119.95-$169.95). Ooo, these curtains are so pretty. They’re lacy, and lightly antiqued around the edges, and in every way look like you just found them in your great-grandmother’s wardrobe and hung them on your wall because you’re stylin’ like that.

5. Sur La Table Jadeite Pitcher ($39.95). Forget about how much I love Jadeite (although ohmygoodness, do I ever)…pitchers are just a wonderful thing to pick up when you find one that’s really beautiful. You can use them for serving, obviously, but also as a vase, to hold bathroom items, bunched together and set on a shelf as decor…whatever.

6. Gianvito Rossi Color-Block Mules ($660). I’m aware these are silly-expensive, but they are so good I had to show them to you. First, they’re mules. Mules are Very Right Now if you care about such things, and Very Awesome Regardless if you don’t. And these have color blocking in great colors. And cork heels. I don’t know; I just think they’re super cool.

7. Missoni Crochet Bodysuit ($910). You could call this a “romper,” and you would be correct. You could also say “Jordan thirty-three-year-old women should not necessarily be wearing rompers,” but I’d have to argue with you on that one and say that thirty-three-year-old women (and any women, really) should absolutely be wearing rompers when they are Missoni and rainbow and GORGEOUS.

8. Jennifer Fisher Gold-Plated Choker ($225). Another item on my wish-I-owned-it list at the moment: a simple, elegant neck circlet. You can dress this one up, dress it down, wear it with everything. It’s a great, timeless staple.

9. T by Alexander Wang Swimsuit ($375). Speaking of simple and elegant: after years and years of crazy cutout swimsuits that require an engineering degree to actually get onto one’s body…there’s just something so appealing about a basic black tank suit. This one has an especially nice shape, but if you, like me, aren’t really into spending crazy amounts of money on items that are not, say, cars and houses, this one is more affordable and just about as cute.
