How To Use Tassels In Your Home Decor

Because you really should. Tassels make everything better.

Now, obviously fort decoration is the best possible use of handmade tassels (click here to learn how to make ’em)…but you can use them lots and lots of other places if you’re not planning to install a tent in your living room (although you should).

diy tassel bedding rainbow

Like, for example, on your bedding. How cute is that?! And such a great way to add personality to a plain white (read: inexpensive) duvet.

tassel pillow rainbow diy

Or just throw some on a single pillow. Seriously, this would take about forty-five minutes of your time (and fancy throw pillows are so weirdly expensive; let’s just make our own, shall we?).

tassel throw blanket diy

Maybe add a few big ones to the corners of a plain throw blanket to de-boring it?

tassel window pull diy

Tassels-as-window-pulls can look dated, but if you go for a bold color and an oversized shape they can be super fun.

tassel curtain tieback

An obvious-but-still-good use: curtain tiebacks.

tassel diy wall planter hanging

This tasseled planter thing is next up on my to-make list. LOVE IT.

tassel table runner diy

Or maybe I’ll whip up this table runner, for my next life when I own one of those huge farmhouse tables. I think this is so freaking cool.

tassel wall hanging wood

Eeeee this is so pretty (maybe for a nursery?). And so easy to make.

tassel wall hanging diy

Please look at this crazy thing. I love it.

tassel dreamcatcher diy

Or just go ahead and make a dreamcatcher straight out of CandyLand. That sounds fun.
