How-To: Boho Braids

When warm weather arrives, so do The Braids. Seriously: there is no easier solution for a running-around-town style…and adding a little sparkle means the look can go from day to night, as well.

P.S. Not a huge fan of the word “boho”…but this look kind of is. Boho. So what can you do?

1. Blow-dry hair smooth, and add a little anti-frizz product to the ends.

2. With a 1″ barrel curling iron, curl a few pieces (don’t worry about getting all of them), concentrating on the area around your face.

3. Create a center part and divide your hair into two sections down the middle. Pull the first side into a low, loose braid, only braiding two or three times and letting pieces (especially the curled ones) fall out wherever they do naturally. Secure with an elastic, and tug on the elastic a little to make it appear twine-y.

4. Repeat on the other side.

5. Add a couple of gold or crystal barrettes to one side, just above the ear (these are Twistband).
