Mall Of America I.N.C. Event

Saturday afternoon was spent at the Mall of America, where Camila Alves and I hosted a runway show for I.N.C before heading back to the store to offer some personal styling tips (and help the attendees who won the I.N.C. gift cards do a little shopping).

I loved every single thing about this day, start to finish: it was just crazy fun. I also loved my outfit so much. Let’s take a closer look.

I think these cage heels are incredible. They’re also much, much more comfortable than they look – these were actually a half-size too small because they didn’t have my size in stock, and it didn’t matter: I wore them happily all day long, and then even kept them on for a post-show wander through the mall (and that is a big mall).

Who’s surprised I chose the leopard sweater? That’s what I thought. (I went up a size to give it a looser silhouette.)

But I was surprised that I ended up choosing those coated leggings over the pair of I.N.C. boyfriend jeans I started out in. I couldn’t resist; they’re just awesome and basically give you the look of leather pants without the constricting feel (they’re very thin and lightweight) or the price (they’re $49.99) – just remember to go down a size so that you get that super-tight fit (the waistband is elastic, so no worries there).

I think this photo – taken right before we went on stage – is hysterical: that security guard and I are like cartoon drawings of two people who are approximately as far away on the emotional register from each other as two people can get.

And here are some shots from the show! Rather than a traditional runway show where the hosts would do an introduction and then make their way off stage, we ended up sitting on stage with the models and talking about their outfits while they walked – and even occasionally running down the runway ourselves to highlight a cool detail or point out an especially interesting fabric.

Like I said: crazy fun.
