Nyack Night

Sometimes, when I am very sleepy or scattered, I ask Kendrick to take a quick look at what I’ve written before I hit “publish”. I just asked him to do that with this post, and this is a decent approximation of the look he gave me:

Here is what I thought seemed like a good idea to put on the internet:

“Kendrick arrived home on Friday afternoon, and the second – I mean tersecond – he stepped through the doorway, two things happened:

1) I have him a big hug;

2) The biggest spricket I have ever seen, the Mama of All Sprickets, came leisurely strolling out from under the radiator in our sunroom. At least

Anyway the exterminator has been called, because I ma DONE.”

Apparently Mama needs not only an exterminator, but also a nap.

A lollipop would be good, too.

Anyway, the point of this post is Friday night, and Friday night was lovely: we spent it wandering around Nyack at sunset, eating ice cream and sushi, and watching the cars drive by.

Strawberry sushi sounds so weird, but it’s not: it’s amazing. The place is right on Main Street in Nyack and is called Wasabi: it’s a little pricey, but really nice for appetizers and people-watching.

What I wore for our little excursion: shoes that I found at T.J.Maxx for $19.99 and that I think look almost exactly like the Valentino Rockstud flats I’ve been gazing at forever.

Happy Saturday. Today is our 5-year anniversary, but we’re celebrating tomorrow, so what I would like for my present right now is a book and a bed.

Good night.
