Behind The Scenes: T.J.Maxx Fall Shoot

Yesterday was a long one: the team from T.J.Maxx (we’re talking two enormous trucks, three vans, two craft service tables, a videographer, a photographer, and about twenty additional people) arrived at my place at 7:30AM and stayed until nearly sunset…but we got so much great stuff shot.

The breakfast table set up on my front porch was pretty spectacular (especially those green things – we’ll talk about those in a bit).

Anytime I see extensions lying in wait for me I am a happy lady.

See? Happy. (We ended up piling all that hair up into this bun.)

Tell me this is not the coolest brush set you’ve ever seen. (I couldn’t find the stylist’s set online, but I did find a gold comb from Aerin.)

My pink deer head got called into action as set dressing. I thought seriously about leaving it this way.

Here we are shooting one of my favorite outfits of the day – including an anorak and leather pants – over on Main Street.

Coming up in just a few weeks: a video and twelve head-to-toe fall looks (including how to wear three of my favorite autumn pieces three different ways).

Can’t wait to show you the finished product(s)!

P.S. To those of you who entered the new fall wardrobe + personal styling contest, we’ll be picking and announcing a winner on Monday, so stay tuned. And if you haven’t entered yet (and live in the NYC area), there’s still time – just click here and tell me your favorite fall item.
