Beauty Hall Of Fame: L’Oreal Eye Makeup Remover

Beauty Hall Of Fame: L’Oreal Eye Makeup Remover

When it comes to beauty, there are a few products that never leave my side, not for even a day.

I may be forgetful about picking up things like paper towels and coffee pods, but I always remember to keep an extra bottle of L’Oreal’s oil-free eye makeup remover on hand. I refuse to run out. Ever.

You know those things that eye makeup removers always say they are (gentle, residue-free, effective)? This one actually is all of those things. It’s the best.

I once tried to switch over to the generic version that promised “100% More Free!”, and…no. Nonono. I went to bed looking like a grumpy raccoon, and in the AM I was off to a drugstore for a new bottle of my beloved.

What’s your favorite eye makeup remover?

It’s so old school, but I love regular old cold creme. For me, nothing removes eye makeup faster/more thoroughly and the soft, moisturizing feel it leaves after you wipe off the creme is great. For the price, you can’t beat it!

Oil is actually one of the best eye makeup removers out there. I religiously use jojoba oil – it melts the make up right off! And when I’m over at my boyfriends I use his EVOO. It seems weird, but it’s amazing. Try it!

I usually use olive oil. It not only removes the eye makeup but moisturizes around the eyes as well.

Ditto for using oil as a more natural option for eye makeup remover — I use sweet almond oil (lighter than olive oil), but will definitely go with EVOO from the kitchen if I run out.

I used to love the L’oreal one until I tried Lush’s Ultrabland. I use intense waterproof mascara and I have to leave the Ultrabland to soak in so it’s not “instant” but it’s less harsh, leaves my skin super soft and I totally buy into the whole natural, green thing! I can’t get it here in China so I use olive oil or sunflower oil when I run out.

Bioderma Creoline H2O. It’s a French pharmacy mild cleansing water that rids the face of makeup with a few swipes and without any irritation. Supposedly makeup artists and models use it. It’s all over pharmacys here in France but u can find it in America too.
