Chinatown & Cherry

For Wednesday’s JITH shoot (part of which took place at Pearl River Mart, in SoHo, where we took these shots), I dressed up like a Fourth of July party in 1979. Or something like that.

Really, this is all sorts of what I like to wear lately. Bellbottoms with a higher-than-usual (for me) rise, a tucked-in, 3/4 sleeve top, and way too many (in a good way) accessories.

Navy.

Denim.

And red.

There’s nothing like a splash of cherry to take you from “being dressed”…to “wearing an outfit.”

If you don’t happen to own a red suede clutch with tassels and elephants on it (I don’t, either; that one was borrowed for the shoot), red lipstick or a slim red bracelet both work in a pinch.

Product info after the jump.

On me: H&M shirt, Cosmic Thread wood necklace, vintage charm necklace, sunglasses c/o GUESS, Talbots belt, Juicy Couture jeans via TJ Maxx, red bracelet c/o Courtesan, gold circle ring c/o ROXoxox, Eddera Aurelie clutch (borrowed), Melanie Auld earrings (borrowed), Fingerpaints polish in Blue Raspberry Taffy.

Shop the look: Asos sunglasses ($21), Elizabeth & James stretch bellbottoms ($225; expensive, I know, but they’re just incredible), Charm & Chain earrings ($32), Target wood necklace ($30), 7 For All Mankind wedges ($298), Madewell tee ($30), White House Black Market clutch ($40).
