Fun, Versatile Wooden Necklaces

Q. I’ve been recently on a hunt for a fun and versatile wooden necklace. I absolutely love the wood necklace you’ve been pictured in on your blog. I think you mentioned that it was bought from a lower-end store?? Anyhow, was wondering if you can offer some suggestions for a wooden necklace for under $100.

Peace,

Yvonne

A. I’m pretty sure that the necklace you’re referring to is the one that I picked up in a Dollar Store in Canada awhile back (most recently seen in this post)…and which is still one of my favorites, too. I’m sort of shocked that it hasn’t fallen apart by now, but that just goes to show that sometimes the best purchases have nothing to do with how much money you spend. It also goes to show that Dollar Stores are the best places on the planet, but we already knew that.

There are so many gorgeous wooden necklaces out there, but I think your best bet would be to go for either a long, beaded shape (which can be layered with sparkling strands for a glamorous, bohemian look) or a sculptural, bib-style statement piece.

And while these Crown & Thorne necklaces are a little more than what you’re looking to spend, I just have to show them to you: they’re so striking, and make even the simplest outfit something special. I’m dying for one myself.
