Feather wreaths! I spotted these in a toy store last weekend (State News over on 86th and Lex) and fell in love.
You can pick one up on Garnet Hill for $59, or at Barneys New York for $100 if you’re feeling fancy.
Orrrr…you can DIY! Just swing by a craft store and pick up a) a bunch of feathers, b) a base of your choice (straw and styrofoam both work), and c) glue. Make small holes in the base using a pencil, and then push the feathers into the holes at an angle, using a little glue to secure them if you like. Add layer after layer until the entire base is covered and the feathers look thick and lush.
(These also work beautifully as wedding pew decorations.)
